About Onaman Lake Lodge

Onaman Lake Lodge has been in some form or another since the 1960s, when the first cabins were built on Picnic Island (the original cabins one and three). Cabins two and four were added in the early 1990s.

Between 1998 and 2024 Onaman Lake Lodge was operated by Mike and Carol Bauer, with the help of Emily. If you’ve fished Onaman before, you know how much care the three of them put into ensuring that guests had the best possible experience.

The lodge changed hands in 2024, when we (Dave and Wendy Paton) purchased the lodge from Mike and Carol. We (along with our dog Artie), have been in the fishing industry for 10 years, helping manage lodges in Northern Ontario, before deciding to take over at Onaman Lake.

Our goal is simple - provide the best possible Northern Ontario fishing experience.
